What to Bring

  • GATES OPEN AT NOON
  • Festival located at Maffeo Sutton Park, 100 Comox Rd, Nanaimo, BC
  • Sunscreen
  • Hats and sunglasses
  • Clothing layers (it's the island!)
  • Ear Plugs (for sensitive ears)
  • Blanket (max size: individual 6’x3’; couple 6’x6’)
  • Refillable water bottle or water in sealed plastic bottles
  • Cooler: max size: 22″ x 15″ x 15″ (larger coolers not permitted on the site)
  • Bring your chair, please be considerate of others

Nanaimo Blues festival - General Rules

  • No glass bottles or glass containers allowed.
  • Festival Gates open at 3 pm Thursday. Aug 8 and noon from Friday, Aug. 9 to Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024.
  • Festival ends at 10 pm nightly except Sunday (ends at 8:30 pm).
  • COVID Health and Safety guidelines will be followed.
  • Pets are not allowed. Service animals are permitted on site.
  • All chairs in General Admission must be removed nightly.
  • Patrons entering onto the festival property may have their image and/or likeness reproduced for promotional and/or publicity purposes in festival photography and/or web casts by the festival, contractor, media and/or partners of Summertime Blues. By entering the grounds, you agree to allow such use of your image and/or likeness by Nanaimo  Blues Festival.
  • Nanaimo Blues Festival and the Nanaimo Blues Society assume no liability for personal loss, injury, death, property damage or other related harm suffered by participants, spectators, vendors, or others who may be adversely affected by the event.
  • On-site security is present 24 hours a day throughout the festival. Nanaimo Blues Festival is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please ensure you safely store your valuables.
  • Nanaimo Blues Festival 2024 wristbands must be worn at all times and are subject to inspection. Wristbands that are altered, tampered with or fraudulent will be revoked and admission denied.
  • All patrons must present valid and acceptable photo ID, if requested, for the sale of alcoholic beverages and/or ticket sales verification.
  • Tickets are non-refundable. Ticket holders can transfer their ticket to another party.
